Gold Ours Blanc Pompon

Pompon spent most of his life in the service of other artists. He directed Rodin's studio from 1890 to 1895, and then became René de Saint-Marceaux's assistant until 1916.

In search of his own style, he was largely influenced by the rise of Japonism and its admiration for Egyptian art.

It was only at the age of 67 that he rose to fame, with the exhibition of his famous Ours blanc.
