Ceramic Vase Le Jardin De Giverny Claude Monet
It is an orchard, and it is a garden. Monet painted «Le Jardin aux iris, Giverny» (w1622) in the spring of 1900. He installed his easel in his Clos Normand, originally an orchard surrounded by walls, which he transformed into a flowering garden.
Back from London, Monet happily finds the Givernois spring. He paints four canvases in this part of his garden. It is first (Le Printemps, Giverny, w1620) a view of the apple trees blooming on blue sky, with a horizon placed a little below the middle of the canvas
